How it is done

These photos are typically made by transferring a photograph onto a ceramic surface which is then baked at high temperatures to make it durable and weather- resistant. The process ensures that the image can withstand outdoor elements like sun, rain and wind, maintaining its appearance for many years.

You can choose between black and white, sepia or full colour. Ceramic photos come in various shapes and sizes, depending on your design preference.

Northland Headstones provide a full service from designing to creating your ceramic photo and also installation, whether its on to an exiting headstone or new memorial.

Why add a photo?

A ceramic photo allows your loved one to be remembered in a way that's more personal and vivid than just text. It captures their likeness, often showing them in a way they were known and loved which helps to keep their memory alive.

For family and friends, seeing the face of their loved one can evoke fond memories and provide a sense of connection during visits to the gravesite.
